Party on the Fourth!
This Independence Day, I will be celebrating at a family - friend's house. Her name is Yvette Bradle, and I'm super excited. She always throws awesome parties with various foods from all over the place, and conversing with the people there makes me feel older and mature. She has everyone bring something, that way we can all contribute to this festive evening. My favorite thing is brought by a woman, her husband, and their kids, but I can't remember their names. It's some kind of Asian dish, and its amazing. Naturally, though, its got meat in it, so I'll be officially starting my new diet (becoming a pescatarian) on Sunday. They're these really delicious meat rolls. They're wrapped in this tortilla -ish thing, and they come with a really good sauce, that's really sweet. I'm hoping that those delicious mini snacks will make an appearance. My mom and I will be bringing Funfetti cookies. Have you ever heard of the Funfetti cake? Well, on the side of the box is a recipe for cookies, and let me tell you, you've never had anything better than these cookies. They're better than Oreos when they had trans fat. Yes, yes, I know Oreos are bad for you, but these cookies are the bomb. Seriously. I also love it when it gets dark, and you can see the fireworks over the tree line. I hate the sound fireworks make, but I love the way they look. It's also fun when the kids and teens (aka me [I'm usually the only teen there]) get to walk around with sparklers. Its altogether and amazing night, and I can't wait until tomorrow!
